LGBT, Palestine, Trans issues? The Muslim voice is uncompromising

The fact is that the Muslim can’t speak in the same way that the non-Muslim can in this country. Yes, he has the same citizenship as others, but really, that’s where the similarities stop. Whereas a white, non-Muslim can call a policy unjust; criticise the government; openly state where his views come from and to whom he subscribes – all without consequence and all the while this is assumed to be his inherent right – the Muslim just can’t do that without a level of consequence that will never be meted out to the kaffir.

The state of affairs in our country is that you can pretty much subscribe to any worldview – Communism, Fascism, Far-Right, Feminism, transgenderism, homosexuality, environmentalism, the list goes on and on – and nothing in that will be presented as peculiar, but the moment you stand up and say, “My worldview stems from the book of Allah (SWT) and the way of His Messenger (SAW) and I cannot deviate from that, nor can I compromise those teachings for anything”, you will instantly be vilified and looked upon as either a threat or a freak. The Muslim was able to get away with arguing his point of view through the lens of post-colonialism in the past, but that lens simply isn’t wide enough to encompass the disgusting state of affairs that exist in our country right now vis-à-vis the transgender ideology and the LGBT agenda. And why? Because ultimately this comes down to, “Well, you subscribe to that worldview and I subscribe to mine. Who are you to say I’m wrong?” This is an absolutely valid line of argument and one that forces the Muslim to say, I’m not the one arguing it’s wrong. My ultimate source of authority is Allah and He says it’s wrong.” How many Muslims are willing to argue that?

The fact is that this ideology pervades every facet of modern life – education, the workplace, the media, etc. Whereas before there was a consensus that people who were of this bent were the outliers in society and marginalised, now they are made mainstream and promoted. But they are also white. They are also ‘British’ and ‘American’ and ‘French’ and ‘the West’. They are not ‘outsiders’ that have brought this in and taken over. They have taken over from within and now they sit atop all parts of society, communities and business, and they don’t just not tolerate any challenge to their ideology, but they aren’t even willing to let you live in peace unless you actively subscribe to their view and you promote it like they do. Your allegiance to the West or to the country at large is now contingent on subscribing to this filth.

The Muslim, however, has a clear worldview. That worldview wholly rejects immorality, and the LGBT crowd and transgenderism is the height of immorality. There is no acceptance of it whatsoever in Islam. So, what is a Muslim to do?

So here’s the thing: This thing isn’t just about us adults anymore. This is targeted at our children. The war on terror targeted Muslims, but if you went to jail as an adult, that was one thing – you remained Muslim; your children remained Muslim, and you dealt with it as a Muslim, with all the tenets of Islam firmly intact. This will rip Islam from our children, root and branch. What if our children start arguing, “Some people are like this and it’s OK. It’s their choice, and we should accept them” or, استغفر الله العظيم, they become transgender or homosexual themselves. May Allah (SWT) protect us and our children and all of our future generations. What happens then? You can be the most pious person in the world, but how will your heart deal with your children having gone astray? We ask Allah (SWT) to always guide us and our children to the right path. This is a reality. It can happen. It is happening. I’ve seen this as a teacher.

Muslims have no choice now but to fight this where it rears its ugly head. I’m scared of doing that, because it comes with consequences. What if I lose my job? What if I can’t work again? How will I provide for my children? This is a test of faith. And it’s a big test, no doubt. No doubt this is a big test. But it has to be done. We can’t let schools indoctrinate our children with this ideology. We can’t expose our children to the media that promotes this. We have to put our view across in legislation and in civil society at large. Put simply, we are now being forced to organise. Palestine wasn’t a big enough issue for Muslims to organise. Frankly, nor was the war on terror era. How about now that our children are at stake? I struggle to see how I can do this openly as a teacher, but I can do it on social media anonymously. First, however, we have to get our message right. We have to be clear on our stance, academically. What is our argument? Why is that our argument? What are its implications for what we can and can’t do; will and won’t accept?

Once this line of argument becomes clear, there can’t be any budge on it. The forces of filth don’t budge on their demands. They haven’t got this far by compromising on their goals. It’s all the more apt that the forces of truth; the forces of Allah (SWT) do not budge on what is the truth. Our hereafter and both this life and the next for our children depend on our efforts.
